So i'm hell bent on going 700-15 on early '40 restore. I'm aware all the negatives. Its like marrying an old call girl right?! With that being said, anybody wanna offer any feedback on which ones to get. I like the pricing and style of STA Brand Traxions.
(set of 5 delivered is $800)
Has anyone had these tires? Or, can anyone offer any suggestions on a good aggressive tread pattern 700-15? Or can anyone provide a source that can save me some $$$. Advanced thanks for the aid.

Thanks guys!
Looks like awhile back you both were gonna try to do a group but on the RK3.
Anything materialize on that?

Checked out the 742S looks like a sweet tire. $1080.00 is the best price I've found so far...

Just mounted a set of STAs on our '63 LV and I really like the old school look of them.

THose STA's look alot like the old Armstrong Norsemans that have gone the way of dinosaur.

Not the Armstrong Norseman that I had on a '70 40 during the mid-seventies. Those had separate center blocks like a BFG AT but more angular and squared off. They were incredibly good, for the time, in snowy conditions and weren't too bad on dry road, either. Must be a pic or two of them somewhere. :hhmm:
Are you thinking maybe of the Armstrong TruTrac?

I may be having a senior moment to be sure! While on the subject, we had a later model Chevy 4x4 flatbed at work, I dont recall what year it was, that had Goodyear tires very similar. It was a 7.50x 16 if I recall correctly.
