I am currently focusing more on builds than imports.

I am currently not doing small or odd jobs. I am only doing full builds. My current schedule has me booked up for some time but if you wanted to get inline for when my next build slot opens up, drop me a call or email!

I prefer the big jobs, I am very familiar with 70-series as well as all models of Cruisers.

Cheers

Ah, good question. I'm not sure how they landed here. I'll fix that.

Thanks.
And on a related note, JC’s British and 4x4 in southwest Denver has done some work for me and they are getting a devoted diesel mechanic this month. Maybe not a devoted Toyota shop, but a good option for people in the Denver area that have nobody else close.

I will add myself here. I started selling armor from South America last year.

Steel front and rear bumpers, Roll Cage, rock sliders, internal consoles (center floor consoles, ceiling consoles, storage consoles for the cargo) , Roof racks low profile.

International shipping varies constantly. You could email me for update shipping cost at Jorge@4runnermods.com

Somehow I chimed in on this thread 6 years ago to mention adding Cruiser Outfitters to the list but never mentioned adding LCD??

Happen to know if the KZJ78 shares seats with any other models? My current annoyance is trying to find replacement seat covers or even seat skins. It would be much cheaper to order stock covers or at least skins from somebody who already has the pattern rather than have something custom fabricated.
Touch base with EscapeGear. They show covers available for 78 Series.

I recommend Escape Gear as I use the complete set for the HZJ77. I have removed and washed it once already too. Great covers.

One other thing I would reccomend is to contact the US vendor of their products. Equipt1 https://www.equipt1.com/collections/escape-gear

When I attempted to buy the covers direct from Escape Gear, they just canceled my order and refunded me without any email explaining why. Equipt1 came to rescue and got me what I needed from Escape Gear.

Paul and the Equipt staff are top notch! I have the escape gear covers on my 200 and love them.

NOT EXACTLY A SHOP, BUT A GREAT RESOURCE
I have purchased parts through the guy that represented me in buying and importing the LJ77 from the Canary Islands (Spain). Adam Farber at Canary Island Rovers @CIR did a great job for me. He lives in the Canaries, having married a local and works full time helping folks like me find cool rigs. He also provides extensive support services, including management of mechanical and cosmetic projects prior to export - including, of course, arranging for shipping. Good guy - honest, competent and efficient/affordable.

I had him tracking down a range of new and lightly used spares for the 77, including fresh clearcoat, rust removal and upholstery work. Not sure if he is interested in tracking down parts, but he stays close to the local market and a bunch of the parts packed into my 77 for the trip were used, purchase locally by Adam on my behalf.

Check it out and good luck:

Hi @wardharris and Mud users,

I do ship parts, new and second hand, from the Canaries around the world for my clients and individuals, whether it be cargo or small bits.
I believe other Mud members could speak to their experiences with me shipping them cargo (palletized heavy parts) if they see this thread.

Whatsapp is the best way to contact me +34 683 36 68 36 or via email at adam@canaryislandrover.com

Thanks for the mention Ward!

Saludos,
Adam

  6. Below is a copy of the Google review I just left for them. I can't believe they are not already on this thread.

The shop is great. I have an imported diesel cruiser (HZJ77) and had a catastrophic engine failure. My cruiser was a long term project at the shop. Onur was able to source a new short block and build it out. The head was rebuilt. The injectors and the injector pump were sent out to a diesel shop for rebuild. All critical rubber and plastic under the hood were replaced with OEM parts. The auto transmission was replaced with new OEM H55F manual transmission. Fabrication work was done as needed for the cross member. One driveshaft was lengthened while the other was shortened. I could not be happier with the outcome. The truck runs and sounds great, and is much more fun as a stick. They took lots of photos and a few videos along the way and shared them through Google drive. So I have a nice record of all the work and parts that went into the truck. If you need work done on your Land Cruiser and want to keep everything OEM, this is the place.
