Hello there
This is what I saw being made today at a shop. The metal flare is an exact replica of the fiber-glass ones. Very nice job. Even the mud flaps were made in metal. What do you think?

If the metal was pretty heavy duty, and protected the fender from minor bumps, I think it would be really good. Not a fan of the metal mud flap though, can't see how it would "flap".
