Has anyone done this conversion in a 60?? I love the power of the FORD 7.3 turbo diesel and found a donor truck. I was planing on doing a 5.3 conversion but the idea of a 7.3 in an fj60 just blows my mind. Has anyone done this conversion yet?? if so I'd love to hear about it.

Anything can be done with enough money. I had a International 7.3 non turbo F250 and loved it. I thought it would be an excellent engine for a 60. I think the biggest problem would be being to tall from top to bottom. It would be pretty heavy too. There would be no adaptors availabe, etc. It would be a lot more work then one thinks, but that doesn't seem to stop people. It didn't take me long to stop thinking about it. I'd like to see soneone else do it first.

Agreed! I'm hopping some has. I did find a post about someone doing this conversion in a 40 which seems crazy but who am I to say.
