69 FJ40 Hazard switch (2 Viewers)

I'm posting some pics of my hazard switch. At least I think that's what this is. I was able to clean it up a little, but damaged the red knob in the process of removing it...if anyone has a knob that'll work with this please let me know.
Also, does anyone have an idea what the solid blue wire coming off it is for?

That blue wire looks like it was added for some reason. 1968-1970 wire diagram

the Extra Blue wire is PO BUILD SHEET OPTION #13 .....



i do have a few NOS first GEN. HAZARD switch's to graze over

Just purchased this refurbished switch from @ToyotaMatt for my 7/69. No blue wire as he stated. Still don’t have operational hazards, not fault of @ToyotaMatt….have power to only half the switch from turn signals……apparently there is an in-line fuse in the cowl harness on that circuit……have to chase it down. Let us know how you make out.

I can tell you from personal experience that if you gift that to your wife, make sure that the fuse is already blown: she WILL find a way to use it on you!
