My steering column wobbles around like a Weeble... it appears that there is a clamp at the junction of the outer column tube and the steering box that I am missing. I couldn't find it in the FSM... can anyone take a picture of what is supposed to be there and/or point me at a part to replace this? (if it is in fact missing)

Thanks,
Mark

There are 2 different styles. One for column shift and one for floor shift. It's basically a band clamp with a bolt through one side to tighten. I could get some pix of the 2 later.

Thanks.... this truck has been converted to floor shift 3 speed.

So what is the part on mine that has the threaded hole you can see and the other, larger, hole that runs parallel to the shaft (closer to the camera in the pic)? Is it part of the column shift stuff? I'll clean off the accumulated gunk tomorrow for a better picture.

In the mean time I wrapped a hose clamp around where the tube ends and it is now tight - no more wobble. Not sure it'll hold once there is steering and other vibrations going on though.
