65 psi electric fuel pump??? (1 Viewer)

Anybody know of an external electric fuel pump that puts out AT LEAST 65psi and doesn't cost $200? I heard late 80s ford trucks had a high pressure external pump but can find no pre regulator psi ratings anywhere. Its for a 4.3 vortec CFI, needs 55-61psi. Tim

bull****, get an E2000 P# from any parts store, it will work perfect and is available anywhere, I have 2, one for a spare and they have a lifetime warranty.....

Thanks. I heard both good and bad about the E2000. That was from mostly V8 guys not getting enough flow. I think it'll be OK with a 6. Also came across Airtex E8248 which has 120 psi cutoff and flows more than the E2000.

Here is some info just in case anybody ever needs it for a TPI setup or just fuel injection as a whole...

E2000 should give you plenty of psi, I have run it on my vortec for years, as have many other, some of those "fancy" race electric fuel pumps are just rebranded stock parts, not all but some I have seen look exactly the same as an E2000, just more $$.

Also, why would you need more PSI than the engine needs, the fuel pressure reg in the intake is going to step it down anyhow to what it needs, seems to me more is not better here, I may be wrong cuz I am an idiot, but......

I don't think more PSI will hurt since the reg takes care of the excess. I'll more than likely go with the Bosch if its still available or the E2000. I just posted the others in case anybody else ever used the search button for a HP fuel pump. Tim

the bosch pumps are good pumps. Last for ever in porsche's and bmw's... I think the 979 is what I ran in the Baja 1000 racetruck and it never hiccuped once. Plenty of flow and pressure to prevent vapor lock.

Earls and Russells make correct metric o-ring fittings to mate to the pumps, then just get a straight -6 or -8 AN fitting for pushlock hose and your all plumbed in a non ghetto way.
