1988 62 series, alittle background, bought this with a bad motor, PO ran it out of oil. Just finished installing another motor I had. I'm not getting any voltage to the fuel pump, I can run a hot lead from the battery to the connector under the cargo area and she runs great. when it's running I get no voltage to the disconnected plug. So the question is there a connector somewhere I'm missing that might be disconnected? could this be the fuel pump relay?

Yes and yes. There are a couple of connections between the ECU and pump. The likely culprit is the relay though.
its not a big deal to bypass the relay if you want
.just wire it up to the fuss block on a spare if there is any.if not make one.been running mine for about a year and a half without a relay
