Does anyone know what length the driveshafts are in a 62 and how they compare to the ones in a 60?

I understand they will be different, just curious about exact specifications.

Thanks

Kiel

Don't know the lengths but the early FJ60's without a spacer between the t-case and transmission have the longest rear shafts and short front shafts. FJ60's with the spacer have a shorter rear and longer front. The FJ62's have the shortest rear and longest front of all three.

How would the front DS of a 60 compare to the rear DS of a 62.

Likewise for the rear DS of a 60 to the front DS of a 62?

Basically I am trying to see if when I swap in a H41/2 into my 1988 FJ62 will I be able to use my current DS and just swap from front to back etc?(if they are close to those of the 60) or will I have to get them shortened and or enlongated?

With a H41/42 you'll not be able to use your current DS's. Options are to have the FJ62 rear shaft lengthened and front shortened, how much will depend on whether the transmission uses the spacer between the tranny and t-case or not.

Otherwise swap in the appropriate FJ60 shafts.

alright thank you very much!
