60 trany in a 62? (1 Viewer)

I have an '84 60 rustbucket with a cracked head. I found a '88 62 with a bad engine great body. I was thinking of rebuilding the 62 engine but I am not a big fan of automatic transmissions. Can I swap the 60 tranny in the 62? Would it be a bolt on job or would I need any adaptors? Anybody done this before?

PS I don't have the money for an H55 right now and the 60 was my DD.

Bolt up job for the most part. It's been done. Plenty of info, just do a search.

I tried but I think I'm not using the right key words and I get a ton of info unrelated.
