60 series oil leak (1 Viewer)

hey guys i recently looked at a 60 series and noticed an oil leak between the engine (12HT) and gearbox, is this a rear main or could it be something else. owner said he had to replace the rocker cover gasket for rego and degreased as much of the engine as possible, so could it be residual oil?

no rwc i dont think but it did just pass rego

That's not a leak to even think about. For a Landcruiser, it's not a leak at all

Not sure this is your issue OP, but I had a similar leak on mine. Looked just like yours. My truck had already had the RMS replaced several years back so I was fairly certain this was something else. Replaced my oil pan gasket and oil pan and its completely clean there now after a few months of driving. I think you can take that inspection cover off to see better where the leak is coming from. But mine looked exactly like your leak. HTH.

Edit: Sorry just saw this is a 12HT. I am not sure the inspection cover setup on those so might be harder to see than on a 2F.

Seep more than a leak..common. Oil pan gasket is where I would start.
