Hey guys new to this page im 16 and just done a body swap on a 2h 60 series both bodies both had 2h wiring but I put the body on hooked all the wires up that I could see and trued to turn it over to bleed everything but nothing happened and a wire burnt out under the dash can anyone help me out??

Slow down there bud!

Lets start with some basics:
  • Were both donor trucks from the same year?
  • Which wire "burned out" under the dash?
  • By "burned out" what do you mean? Smoke? Fusible link?
  • Did you connect all of the connectors between the body and everything else?
  • What market are these HJ-60s from? Are both 24V, or 12V?
  • Did anything happen when you put the batteries in? Did the horn or interior lights work?
  • Did anything happen when you turned the key to ACC or ON? Or was it just when you turned the key to START to "turn it over?"
This should get us going a bit.

Forgot to mention the 2h has a after market turbo setup
And both cars are 84
And im not sure exactly what wire as I cant find it it was burning as in smoke was coming out of the loom
And I connected all the connectors
The old body was 24v the new was 12v
Everything worked on acc
And when I turned the key on the glow plugs were working and just as I went to start it smoke poored out from the loom

The turbo doesn't affect that electrical stuff.

Good.

One way or the other, you'll be digging into that wiring harness. Either replace the whole harness with the other one, or repair this one. To repair you will have to open up the harness and examine it wire by wire.

And I connected all the connectors

OK

The old body was 24v the new was 12v

My money is on this being the problem. 12V to 24V swaps leave you a lot of room to make mistakes. I'll come back to this.

So the new body and harness is 12V. Does this mean that you kept the original frame and engine? Did you swap the starter as well? As in: is the 24V starter being fed by the 12V harness and system?

Yep Dan's onto it. At the very least all the relays attached to the body/dash etc should have been changed to reflect the original setup.
The lights and stuff should also be changed but that's minor.

Where the real issue is here is to do with the preheating system (passenger kick panel) and the EDIC. The resistance of the plugs from 12v to 24v changes enough to cause this kind of problem.
Also were all the earth (negative) and chassis straps connected correctly as well as correct fusible links and normal fuses?
