I bought a reman 60 alternator (55 amp) and removed the gm high output unit. I fixed all the wiring and hooked up the alternator and could not get the truck to shut down. I later discovered the lower spade connector has continuity with the B+ terminal. So basically the + terminal was energizing the lower spade connector.. This doesn’t seem correct. Can anyone confirm that this is in fact a problem?

thanks

Anyone running a 60s alternator and can run a multimeter across the charge and inner spade connector?
