I've read quite a few threads about the rebuild, and I have the Gates kit. I've also heard that it's possible to replace the input shaft seal while still on the truck, I just can't confirm that's possible from the rebuild threads. Can anyone confirm if I can just turn that cap off (that needs the spanner wrench), replace the seal, then replace the cap? Or am I missing something?
