Good work Kelly!
So, how do you protect the bare metal in cavities?
Do you use weld through primer, cavity wax or are you just leaving it bare?

Thanks!

That can be the tricky part sometimes. I have been using this Eastwood stuff on everything. It’s really thin so it runs into all tight places. If I can’t access it then I will use weld through primer. Also, I sometimes spray rubberized undercoating on interior doors and quarters after the Eastwood spray.

Check into Mudship. It might not be that bad!

More areas I didn’t like on the fender, so I cut them out and sand blasted all the rusty areas before the new metal is welded on. I sprayed most of these with weld through primer first.

Tailgate, rusty bottom as usual. Previously I had sand blasted all the rusty areas, so today I am finishing it up. Made a patch panel for the skin and had to rebuild the inner lip too. Sprayed with weld-through primer and tacked it on.
