The6x4 are really bad off road the 6x6 on the other hand is tops
Look nice and clean though

How does the rear axle drive? does it have a shaft from the front axle or right from the transfer case

looking at the rear hub pics anrt to great but it look like a "lazy axle" so 6 x 4

Nicely done, very clean unit...I wonder how much power is left in reserve to 4wd any way after dragging around that big body and extra axle ? A turbo and true 6x6 would definatley make a difference.....to the price also !

a 6.5 litre chev diesel transplant ...hhhmmmmm, 6x6 converion....:hhmm:

Maybe remvove the lazy axle and cut the tray back to original...hhmmmm:hhmm:

That one is probably a lazy axle.
There is a few companies in oz that do this conversio and they have used both the options you mentioned.
Others have used a hydraulic motor to drive the rear or an electric motor.
They are limited to low range speed when the rear most axle is engaged.

different, not my cup but still thanks for posting...

This is what we use when we need the payload of an F250 but the reliabilty of a cruiser;).
Its also complicated by the fact ,that the big 3 only built RHD pick ups when they were were not busy.
(Like when they had to use a LWB Patrol/Safari to replace the Bronco in Fords aussie line up)

IMO ,the money would be better spent on a 4x4 Isuzu or Canter clone

This one is $94000 but it has a few upgrades. Was nice to sit in:grinpimp:
Colour wasnt me,but it sure was eyecatching
