Interesting. Toss up some pics of your set up when you're done.A taste of things to come. I'm replacing my rear seats with a shelf. Looked at the Goose gear shelf, choked on the price (doesn't even come with instructions) and long wait time. Found a neighborhood fabricator just down the block from me. 1" tubular steel gusseted frame. Will have a 3/4" plywood deck covered in black auto/speaker carpet with L-track for tie-downs on top and SS rings at floor level. Everything bolts down to floor using stock bolts and threaded holes. So will be easily removable and seats reinstalled. Front legs are approximately 13.5" tall so that the shelf will clear the plastic rear "humps" along the sides by 0.25". should be completed and installed within a week or two. Waiting for some final parts from Amazon.

Two out of three ain't bad!!Hey guys, long time Mud member first time on the 4Runner side of things.
In April I purchased a ‘22 Trd off-road. This is my second forerunner. The first one was an 88 that I owned in the early 90s wish I never would’ve sold that awesome truck.
It was time to move my 21 year old suburban with 300,000 miles on it until the back up position so I took my new 4Runner with me up to the Tetons for the summer, did absolutely everything I asked if it wonderful wonderful truck. Right now I’m just considering upgrades wheels and tires eventually new roof rack perhaps a winch and front bumper assembly but no rush.
She fits nicely in the garage with the old suburban, and my troopy.View attachment 3177633View attachment 3177634View attachment 3177635View attachment 3177636
