Hi,
I just replaced my TRE with the 555s from cruiser outfitters. I had never done it before and I’m not sure if the POs had either since they were so seized up. After searching online just now on whether I needed to add more grease to them, I realized people recommend painting them first. It was a pain to remove the old ones and I practically had to damage some in order to remove them. Is it worth it to go through the trouble of removing these new ones to paint them and replace them, risking any further damage? Or should I just paint the exposed bits and cut my losses? Thanks

I agree with @Splangy - Best is to paint them in place.
