looks like an M-37 to me...the hood line is different from an fq15/fq10 and also the marker lights are inboard not outboard like an fq15/fq10...also the way the windshild folds down is not like an fq15/fq10.

I'd say it's an M-37 Dodge

dont know why they say toyota at the bottom? can anybody translate?

I've got to agree, it's a M37. This isn't bad though: Bandy Truck

and the Toyota wasn't even made in 1951...........

hey fellas thats my home town in oz,im 1000klm away at the moment if anyones serious about it i could get my brother or a mate to check it out if you want.
cheers goldchaser

Odd vehicle

That's something i have never seen before. Not in any of my Toyota books going back to 1951. Looks like my M37 below in many ways. All the early BJ's that even resemble that have flat fenders. i would like to see more picts of that one.

This is a Toyota FQ-15 Military Truck.
It was patterned after the Dodge M37 and manufactured in the 1950's for the
Japan Self Defense force and for the USA Military to use in
Korea and other parts of Asia. They are powered by the same engine that is
used in the Land Cruiser. They came in two basic models.
The FQ-10 and the FQ-15. They had different Wheel base and some
other differences

you have all the wrong books......I even someplace have a brochure on this.

Steve at Owens I recall has one of these in the states

I don't know how, but I bet someone can enlarge the photo of the dash and read the name plates to see what this truck is. Curious, John Pardi
