5 speed woes.

So I just put this 5speed and split case into my troopie,and it shifts fine but it makes a crazy noise that starts in 3rd and get louder in 4th and 5th,it'not like a bearing wine,its more like a baby crying,like wahhh waahhh,that is the best way to decribe the noise. Does any one have a clue what this might be.

Just a little history about the trannyand transfer,they came out of my friends rig and he said he had no problems with noises. I only paid $1000 for it but it would just be a hassle to do it all over again. The clutch has about 5000 miles on it . Like I said it shifts fine.

strange tranny problems you have been having Jim...what does the fluid look like?

anything new with it? its been 2 days...get to work

sound like you are going to have to put it up on jack stands and run it to see whats up.

It's already out and I dropped it off at a transmission shop,he is going to go over the tranny and case to see whats up. While it's there I am going to replace both front and rear diffs and put in later model ones that I removed out of a fj60,better gears for the highway. And if funds are there I will Spring it over.
