I swapped a 5 speed from a 83 BJ60 into my 81 BJ42 and when I installed the Speedo cable and drive my speedometer was jumpy and read way too fast, like over 100 km/ h.
Does anyone know why? It is the original 81 cluster and cable. I thought it might be a known problem with the swap?
Sorry if this is diesel related and should be moved but I think some of you may have done this swap to your gassers too?
