4x4 Support Program for SAR

Guys,

I was down at the Lane Co Sheriffs Dept. today submitting my CHL paper work and I requested some info on Search and Rescue. I see there is a 4x4 support program, any of you guys have any experience with the program or something similar?

I don't know that the Jackson County Sheriff has a 4x4 program. They have a 4-Wheeler program, and a horse program, but I don't recall seeing a 4x4 one.

It'd be cool to get more involved in that sort of thing though.

My buddy helps out in his radio cab unimog up in Clackamas county. He might be able to help you out if interested. He runs HAM radio operations out of it.
