got a buddy that has one, the heat will not blow when the truck is cold, what I mean is the blower will not turn on. if you leave the truck in heated garage for a day, it will work until you park the truck outside again. took it to dealer and they want to replace the whole blower motor. anyone does this? how difficult to change that? not familar at all with 4th gen stuff?

Does the blower come on as the truck is warming up? Also does the blower operate after the truck warms up, and does blower speed change as the temp in the truck goes up?

In my 06, the blow stays off until the engine temp starts to climb, then the blower speed steps higher until the set temp in the truck is reached, then the blower speed steps back down to maintain the set temp. This is normal for the auto system.

I don't use the auto setting so it soes not increase blowing as the car warms up. It has been happening when it is below zero. The blower simply does not come on. I let the car run for 20 minutes with nothing. The heat eventually warms up, I can feel the vents are warm, but no blower. Once it is in the garage for the night the next morning it is fine.
