I have two landcruiser 4spd trannys and one has a pto cover on the side and the other one is solid casting where the cover would be. is one better than the other maybee lower geared? the one that has the pto cover was also mounted to an early lc 3spd case?

just wondering cuz I want to use all the best parts that I have

Later 4 speeds deleted the PTO cover. Only way to check the gearing is to put it in first gear and count the turns.
3.5 turns on the input for every one turn on the output = H42

Just to get your hopes up, my H41 doesn't have a PTO cover. :G
