Can anyone tell me where I can find information and specifications on these Toyota diesel engines?

As far as I know, Toyota's only made it to 1HZ, a 1st generation 6-cyl OHC 4.2L IDI motor.

4HZ and 6HZ are going to be a few years away yet. ;)

Do some searches, go here- TLC FAQ - 5.4 Engine Specifications

Wikipedia is also a good place to research for "Land Cruisers" because they list engines for the different models/generations.

Then you might get some answers to specific questions.

Considering just how incredible the 1HZ is, *if* there's a 6HZ, life as we know it would never be the same...

to my understanding the 4b 5b are the 4 cylinder hino/toyota, and the hino version is not the HZ, and is [like] wo4t, and variations thereof depending on injection and turbo, (like 15bt....)

hino does have 6cyl motors out there, but i am unaware of the 'code' used for the motor, but i am willing to bet that the hino 6 cyl are the industrial versions of the toyota HZ

Trucks all run direct injection and bigger cylinders than passenger vehicles. The 1HZ is not a truck motor.

Any Hino 6 cyl you find will be at least 6 litres capacity.
