Watching a hunting show from Australia friday and they were riding around in a white 4 door crew cab truck. Which the host refered to as the landcruiser. I know there are many other Cruisers out there that the American public don't get to see, but this truck looked like a serious truck. I WANT ONE!! What are they? FJ75's?

not a standard 75 series anyway... i have seen 75 series with dual cab conversions

sure it wasn't a landROVER defender 110 or 130 "ute" or pickup

first pic is a custom 75 series... ignore the 3rd axle :grinpimp:

the others are POS rover defender 130's

It's such a shame that Land Rover can't build a quality reliable truck because their style is truly beautiful in my opinion. Maybe one day when I'm an arrogant millionaire I'll put a Land Rover Body on a Cruiser chassis :D

I am warming up to Land Rover . My wife has had a Range Rover Classic for 2yrs now (1994 truck). Great vehicle, daily driver and long distance traveler. It has been one of the MOST reliable vehicles I have seen, in tons of conditions. The only probem I have is the electrical sucks. Just dumb little things like dome lights that dont turn off and things like that.

I know the guy at the local junk yard had a Series II Land Rover that he put 1977 FJ40 axles under for strength :D

POS or not, I saw a Land Rover 110 troopy-type wagon yesterday in the Hill Country and my mouth started watering.

It was probably a HZJ75 with an extra cab or a 75 troopy cut down.
    Not many gassers in these
They are mainly built for the mining industry or for rail maintanence.
They are usually fairly tired when they come up for auction.
Cutting the rear off a 105 series is a very popular conversion as well

I have a local buddy that has a disco. Speaking of electrical issues, he has a couple of dash lights burned out. He has been told by all the disco boards and clubs not to replace or attempt to fix the lights or the entire electrical system is likely to go to s***. Other then that it's a pretty neat truck.

This "landcruiser" that the guy refered to looked like an FZJ80 with a 6 foot bed behind the second row of seats. I drooled and wished for TiVo.

then it was probably a cut down 80 series... didn't come standard like that... someone rear ended their 80 and didn't want to fork out for crash repairs... kinda common out here ;)
