4BT to stock 4 speed fj40 (1 Viewer)

Apologies if this question has been asked already.
Is it possible to install a 4BT cummins engine to a stock 4 speed FJ40 Transmission? or the only option is a NV4500 tranny?
I would like to keep it as stock as possible and with the less mods.
I have a 4" lift on my rig, if I install the 4Bt do I need to reinforce the leaf springs due to the cummins weight?

You will want the 5th gear with a 4BT.

2f probably weight more than a 4bt , so the front leaf springs are just find
x2 for 5 speeds , cant imagine to drive my 3b bj42 without it

Is the 4 speed Fj40 tranny exactly the same as the BJ40 Tranny? Or is there a difference on size or shafts?

No, they are not the same. The input shaft is a different length and has a different spline count.
