So I have read until my eyes started bleedding and am not sure I have the answer yet. Have a 4bt out of a sweet box van, and a chevy nv4500 behind the boat anchor currently in my 60. The options I have come up with so far are
1. Really expensive 4bt flywheel from cummins($800ish or more) specifically for a chevy trans, chevy clutch and be done
2. 6bt flywheel, chevy clutch. Need to have the flywheel machined to fit a pilot bearing, or change the input shaft to a dodge version?

Besides getting pretty frustrated trying to read the Yahoo group threads (really makes you miss the logical setup of a place like this)I cant find a direct answer.

TIA, any help appreciated

Chris

Go with #1. If you search around, you can find a Chevy flywheel much cheaper than through Cummins. Give Proffitts Cruisers a call for a used flywheel. We may have a source for them for around $300. 1-877-PROFFITT.

Also, if you go with the 6BT flywheel route, you will have a VERY stiff clutch pedal from what I understand.

I'll give profitts a call. Same opinion I've gotten else where. Less expensive is better, but I want reliable also. Thanks
