This was my great grandmothers jeep that she had bought new in 48. It had lived a long full life on the ranch until it was retired to the sheep shed in 89. A few years ago i managed to convince my uncle that i could breathe some life back into it and it ended up traveling back up to Montana from Colorado.

During this time i rebuilt the carb, changed out the radiator that had a bullet hole in it. Changed the oil and it fired right up and runs surprisingly well. From then on i have been using it around the yard. This spring I've decided that i want to put some more work into it so i can use it more.

List of work to be completed:

12V conversion
New set of tires (one is currently shredding it self apart)
Disk brake conversion
New locking hubs

Started into the disk brake swap last weekend. Made my own "kit" cobbling together a few different cj2a forum writeups but is still bolt on. Got the front done other than new hardlines. I installed some vintage NIB hubs from dualmatic that had come with the jeep. The rear is close just need to pick up new flange bolts for the caliper bracket. Next up is changing out the master cylinder to a new two port type, run hardlines and a proportioning valve for the rear.

Nothing like the feeling of bolting nice new parts on to "scrappy"
