Doesn't look like anyone has ever answered this question. According to the all-knowing wikipedia there were 4,744 40th anniversary editions made for sale in the US.

4218 or 4128 here. Dunno threw away the plack and retarded wood trim junk

Just bought a 1997 40th Anniversary Edition today with No. 2152 on the console badge. Flew to Chicago to pick it up today and drove it 300 miles to its new home in Western Kentucky. Thanks for the posts. Now I know how many were made.

I think I'm the lucky winner who got a FJ80 40th without lockers.
Then again it reall didn't cost me much of anything so I can't complain

This one is a long time MUD member's 40th. He had me sell it for him off-line and it is a hell of a nice truck.

40th always command a bit more if they are in good shape (and this one is) plus it has a TRD SC, auxiliary fuel tank and factory lockers. :)

I just picked up a 40th Anniversary Ed. and have been trying to find out how many were produced. Anyone out there know?

Thanks a lot.

– A total of 4,744 FZJ80 Land Cruisers were sold in the United States as "40th Anniversary Limited Edition" models.

All of them
