Last week there was a "FJ45 Flatbed" listed on Ebay....the "Tin Lizard".
My understanding was, it was a FJ40 tub mounted on a FJ55 frame.
Does anyone have any insight on this type of set up?
That truck looked like S**T, but the concept is pretty cool.

i think i read some where that the 55 frame is stronger than the 40 frame, so that would be a plus. but the 55 has a much longer wheel base, doesnt it? i dont think that would work out.

kustom....

It is only metal....make it work.

Its not a whole lot longer I think its like 10-12". Its a cool idea, I agree with poser you can make it work if you want to do it.

Cover of the latest TT, modified 40 body on a 55 frame.

Its actually two 40 bodies put together though so they didn't have to adjust the frame. Just cut the second tub to the length they wanted.

Hi All:

Which rig is it? The custom 40/45 Series short pick-up?

My wife liked the pic of the pretty pup and lady at the end!

Looked like a good trail ride!
