Hi All -
I am hoping that everyone is staying safe and that someone can help me out. Venturing into new territory.
I bought a 4 speed transmission (guessing H42) off another mud member to put into my ‘70 FJ40. It was rebuilt and was a direct bolt in to my 3 speed TC (I am guessing it was rebuilt with an Advanced Adapter output shaft?).
Anyway, got everything together and went to check the TC floor shift fitment. As you can see in the pics, it does not quite line up and the bracket holes to mount on top of the tranny are too small. The three parts in the last pic are off my 3 speed tranny. I thought I could Frankenstein it together. I am guessing I need to replace all those with 4 speed parts. If correct, does the exact year of the 4 speed matter?
Thanks
