Does anyone know if a 4 speed from a FJ60 would bolt up to a split transfer case from a FJ62? Thanks.
Ok, it looks like it can be done, but what idler shaft does it take. Does the tranny have to be the 34mm shaft or the 38mm shaft? Thanks

If your tranny was taken out from FJ60 which has production date post 85/04, you can use. (VIN range : FJ60-0127360 +)
Those FJ60 have adapter between tranny and t-case.
Regarding idler shaft, it holds idler gear that has no direct relation with tranny output shaft.
Outside of USA, many FJ62s have 4-speed manual tranny with vacuum 4H/2H transfer.
If you use 4-speed tranny with t-case from automatic tranny FJ62, you must remove neutral position switch which is located very near from 4wd low switch on t-case.
Get FSM and refer it then you can get so much help.

Oh, Min Seok

Cool, thanks a lot for the info.:)
