I don't recall the last time I heard this phrase with Skyjacker springs 😁

Rear skyjacker springs need 3 3/4" to 4" pin to pin minimum to work correctly , with the stock shackle ,the spring eye hit the hanger in compression and invert shackle on extention
Different reasons for the same thing. No bushings (bicycle inner tube stuffed in there). SOR 2-inch. The sound that it must have made might have been loud enough to just park it in the barn for a decade or so.
