4-hole Bosch DRI fuel injectors from OsideTiger - Upgrade option?

In practice, this "upgrade" has netted zero noticeable gains in other vehicles.

i can believe this too.

I don't expect that this would do anything for my '94 vs. just having cleaner injectors.

When i get around to doing my leaky valve cover & plug seals I will take my injectors to be cleaned and tested, and i don't foresee a desire to drop a few hundred bucks on fancier injectors for a 1fz-fe.

Have you guys watched the video showing the difference in the Bosch DRI's atomization? that kinda speaks volumes to me.

So, someone try these, and then let us know. Also, please do before/after dyno pulls. kthxbye.

If you guys haven't done so, I'd recommend takin a moment to watch Osidetiger's video (at the bottom of my OP). It was illuminating in terms of understanding how variations in the injector's fuel stream can impact effective atomization.

I believe these Bosch DRI 4-hole injectors are able to deliver better performance results in atomizing the fuel at the same OEM rate of flow, rather that just throwing larger amounts into the chamber.

Frankly, for the potential they stand to offer at the this price point...I'm surprised these haven't made their way thru the LC ih8mud community more.

I'm thinking I'm gonna give 'em a go.

Curious if you ever gave the bosch injectors a go - I'm either getting the stock ones cleaned or getting the bosch.

I installed the Bosch dri’s about 10,000 miles back. Im not sure if the old ones we’re super gunked up or if the new ones are just better but I got 16 mpg on my last tank going through Bryce Canyon and driving the highway which is something I never saw before changing them.

I also just installed a new wiring harness, an egr delete test kit, new plugs, new wires, and a d cap. Maybe that had something to do with it?? I’m averaging around 13 or 14 in the city. I’m at stock height with 33 inch nitos and an Nwti bumper.

Installed the 12-hole bosch over the weekend. So far so good and I'm getting 17 mpg! The idle is smooth as butta.

Biggest reason for doing the swap was to reduce ping on acceleration and smooth out idle.

Just kidding about the mpg. Have to run a few tanks to see if there's any difference.

My concern about changing away from the OEM injectors would also be what is the OEM ecu using for it's battery offset control values and what would another injector such as the Bosch be controlled at as it's pretty unlikely they are the same.

@GSTMike Consider my mind blown
You've gone way beyond the scope of my limited knowledge.

I'm getting a p0303 code. I verified I have good spark so I'm leaning towards replacing the injectors. How have these held up? Anyone have more reviews on these 12 hole injectors? I see they're now being advertised as "12 hole densos".

Fixing to do a head job here in the coming weeks and am considering these as a replacement for stock, but only if no mods needed. So were these Osidetiger 12 hole injectors truly plug-n-play? No fuel rail spacer differences, wiring, etc?
How have this held up over the last two years?

Plug and play as they provide wiring adapters. Used them on my 3FE rebuild. Seemed to work just fine. Would probably swap them in on the 80 if I ever had the intake removed.

Thanks Jared, hope you're doing well! I saw they included the wiring adapter, but others had commented that some non-original factory injectors (ie Denso 23209-74080) could be slightly different in terms of length and require different fuel bar spacers when bolting it down... Given the 3FE cast iron 12 valve design vs the 1FZ aluminum 24 valve differences I'd imagine there might be fuel bar mounting differences between the 3FE and 1FZ...
