all updates will be posted to our site. lots of pics and info there. we have had the body mounted and it fit great for what we are building. however if you are gonna build this on a stock 80 chassis there is a problem. the cowl is about 5" to far forward. this pushes the back of the front fender to far into the wheel. would be an issue with anything larger then a 31 or 32" tire. im sure the issue can be fixed. will just require 5" to be removed from the passenger areas and the front end pulled back. my also mean the front cowl mount will need to be relocated. our body just came back from being polished. parts have started to arrive and the build is in full swing. 80 series rear axel is being used and new gears from nitro gear. front axle is being swaped out in favor of a ruff stuff housing. this will alow us to use the 80 series rear diff in place of the weaker 8" front. gears birfs and axel shafts from nitro gear and hysteer knuckles from hellfire fab. spoke with dan at ruff stuff and we are gonna work together on putting together front and rear link kits for anyone interested in duplicating this build. seats are from prp seats. rally venture recliners up front and a 3 man 60" bench for the second row. prp 5.3 harnesses keep you in place. wheels are method race wheels new 20" 105 bead locks. tires are yet to be determined but will either be 40 or 41". just finished removing all the factory suspension mounts and getting ready to remount the body. cage will be built and seats mounted. engine trans and transfer fitted and trans mount fabbed up. then the body goes off to gator wraps for a partial wrap. more next week or so

I wish I would've put my sunglasses on before opening the latest update!

Very cool build!

We got all the factory suspension brackets cut off and ground down to. Filled 98 yes 98 holes in the front section of the frame rails. Also got the tub back on the chassis. time to install the drive train and start laying out the new link suspension.

Awesome build!

That piece you cut out of the rear suspension, pics on post #24.Is that by chance heading to the scrap pile?I could use it if you are looking to get rid of it.

Shannon Campbell built a widened Aqualu tub his dad. I'm pretty sure he didn't use the 80 frame however. His suspension was a bit more over the top.
It was still at his shop last time I was there, but that was quite a while ago. As I remember the hood was one of his glass units. The wide 40 series looks
pretty good
