Part way through my Elate install. I guess they forgot to include some parts so I'm waiting but so far I'm seriously impressed with the hardware.

I don't believe the new version requires hood modification anymore. They redesigned it so the throttle body fits on the front and it uses the stock intake tube and air box now.

You do have to modify the water neck slightly, however.

I went for the full setup with intercooler.

Will you be documenting this? You'd have lots of eyeballs. No pressure or anything.

Price difference isn't that bad when comparing the insane premium for 06-07s - and that's only a 30HP gain. Supercharged 100s also hold their value somewhat, based off listings on auction sites.

Supercharging a 20 year old 200-250k+ mile engine is a recipe for early engine failure.

Wasn't the reason that it was damaging the cast iron 2UZs made in the US for Tundras and Sequoias? I haven't researched this too much lately, but I remember the consensus here was that the TRD superchargers installed with forged 2UZs from the Land Cruiser/LX were reliable.

I'm pretty sure it was snapping the toothpick rods. Apparently the 2UZs made in the US had sintered rods as opposed to forged from Japan? Something like that. The rods are fairly thin regardless, look up a UZ rod comparison to get an idea.

I see where Bullet claims 35% increase on the HP, so putting a non-VVTi in the low 300HP range? Can anyone verify their claims? My 2000 is in really great shape, I'm irrational enough to do this.
