I am in the process of putting this 4.3l into my toyota truck and pulled the top of the intake to see if I have any issues with the spider injector...

here's what I found...there is a little pool of fluid down at the lower left. I didn't see any wetness when I fired up the fuel pump...

do I need to replace this?

It would probably be good insurance to replace that short fuel tube assembly. They tend to leak with time and miles, and will cause a rich condition if left alone.

You may also want to fire the injector while watching, in case one of the tubes is leaking. That would mean replacing the whole "spider" would be necessary.
