I can't find my answer anywhere, hopefully someone here can help or point me in the right direction. Or flame me for not posting somewhere else. :hmm:

I have a 2003 4.3 and I plan to put a th350 behind it in my crawler project. I just learned that in 2001, GM changed the crank depth and pilot bore on this motor and later trannies have a deeper bellhousing and different torque converter (from Novak.com). Does anyone know if there is a flexplate/torque converter combo that will allow me to run a th350 behind this motor or do I have to go to a matching 4l60? Or if you can point me to a 4.3 guru elsewhere, it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks!

I wondered if the v8s changed with the LSx engines and maybe they changed the 4.3 to bring it inline with the LSx engines to use the same transmission case, etc? I ran into something about a flexplate spacer for the LSx engines and need to look into it more and see if it is related.
