3URFE swap into a 100 LX470

Hi guys !!

i have lx470 and i love my car it is very reliable

so i got to say it the 2uzfe sucks in power i want to change it

i have TRD Supercharger on it and headers and uni chip making 405 hp and and the car is beautiful but i want moreee and i cant go more with the 2uzfe it is very expensive to modd

so was thinking on changing the engine to 3urfe 395 hp stoke + trd supercharger 500hp + reliable + will pass emissions testing:D

so can some one help me with these !:frown:

what i want to do is : 3URFE eng and the manufacture ECU (OR GO stand alone system Motec or any thning ) with the 3urfe transmission and the differential all from a 2010 lx570 that i have

so tell me what do you think and is it hard ?? do i need to do a custom eng mount or it will fit right away with some cosmetic fitment ?? some of my friend tould me that the ujz200 have the same chassis as the lx470 so i can use the same eng mount place to install the 3urfe into my lx470

what should i take care the most ? is it going to work if i change the eng and the trans and diff and factory ecu with it harness ?

oh and is it going to work with the lx470 cluster or i shoud change it to lx570 cluster:frown::frown:


i know every thing in my lx470 from smallest part to the biggest :hmm:

I don't know about the swap. However, I have modified several vehicles and the engine is the least of your worries. Brakes and suspension will also need to be upgraded to deal with the extra power and potential top end. The drive train will also need to be gone through as well as it was not designed for the level of torque such a modification will have. The handling of the vehicle was also not developed for speeds in excess of those attainable by the stock engine, if it meets even that standard.

Not sure why the focus on big power in these kinds of vehicles. I'd rather have a sports car that accelerates, brakes, and handles well for this kind of urge. None of which I expect from a Land Cruiser, as it was designed for a much different set of tasks.

and custom suspension so no problem with that

and the drive train is going to be lx570 drive train

well in uae it is like 70% is 4x4 cars and moded one + i like to have a 4x4 that is sleeper

now one know what is inside your car + when you overcome a Porsche and the new Nissan the look of the in Porsche guy and the Nissan is priceless

and in the future i will bore the eng to 6.0L stroker hahahaha

stonepa is the engine mount position in the lx470 is the same as the lx570

i need to know every thing i need to complete the project before i start to open the eng in my lx

The V12 is a Toyota engine I believe
 
For a long time, many Japanese engines were "rated" at exactly 276 hp though many produced more. A gentlemen's agreement between Japanese manufacturers so as not to create a HP war.
 
Why are "low horsepower" engines bad??

Why would you need so much horsepower? just so you can overtake Porsches and Skylines on the highway??

I think you've got the wrong platform my friend..
 
How are you going to deal with the immobilizer on the 5.7? That is why I've yet to see one, I repeat one, 5.7 swap.
 
Boody, are you going to put a supercharger on this engine? Initial thoughts are that 501hp is quite a lot for a truck designed on, what, less than 200hp? I don't even know what our trucks get, 174hp?
 
I have seen several guys in the UAE that take 100s an turbo the bawls out of them. There is a 100 with the inline 6 putting almost 1000 horse to the wheels on YouTube. I say soup her up, get a helmet and life insurance policy and go have fun. Haters are gonna hate!
 
why not just stick with what you got and hook up some NOS? seems like the easiest way to get the power/speed you want without molesting a 200-series for no reason (unless you wrecked it?)
 
To be honest I strongly believe you are going to spend twice the money in your 3UR plans compared to raise up power in your 2UZ up to the same range .. ( 500 HP .? )

Edit: dumb ass me .. probably money is not an issue .. so ignore my comments please.

Cause you have to constantly refill NOS, plus who DOESN'T want to molest a 200-series?? Maybe that's just me

yeah definitely i will and will increase the boost by 2 psi

well you have to see uae tuck man hhhhh they can go faster then a Ferrari and lambo and when i say Ferrari and lambo i mean f12 and avantador +

i had a problem i talked to workshop and he told me that i cant use my old lx470 dash i there any way that i can use it with the lx570 ecu ?
so guys tell me what do you think is it going to work ?
 
Buy a 200 series and drive that instead. It will probably be cheaper than trying to put a 5.7 into your 100 LC.
 
Christo Slee did a great outline of why the 5.7 is such a hard swap to pull off. I wish I could find that thread now...

Anything thing is possible with enough time and money. There is only one way to find out...

nop it is expensive to buy lx570

my project i cheaper

im going to start the project after tomorrow im waiting all the shop to open because today ans tomorrow is vacation

if im going to use the lx570 ECU what will work in my car ?? power luck ? windows ? dashboard ? etc....
