Could not find answer find in FAQ. Will 3rd members from a 84 fj60 fit into a 1980 fj40 housing? I am sure the ratio is the same but am unsure as to bolt patern and axle spline ect. Also, are front and rear interchangeable?

Yes. Yes. (Rear has a block to hold the axles out so the C-clips won't fall out, but otherwise the F&R diffs are the same.)
