Anybody know a ballpark number of stock 3FE volumetric efficiency?

I was bored today at work and kicking around a few numbers for how fast you'd have to spin a SC14 to make 5 psi. Those seem to turn up pretty cheap every now and then.

Doesn't anybody dream of a supercharged 3FE?

I mean what does that air pump do anyway besides take up space?

Dog,
I don't dream of a supercharger. Too much wasted pumping when I am not deep in the throttle. :frown:

Nitrous OTOH, that makes sense for my occasional brief high power requirements. :)

Regarding VE, I would just grab a typical pushrod 2-valve value, usually 80-85%. I've never seen a VE number for any Cruiser engine, just Torque and BSFC.

After owning a MR2 SC for a while I'm very pro SC.

Milage on the SC is close to that of the NA. The toyota SC's disengage when not needed.

Betcha if I went that way my milage would stay within 1 mpg...but I'm still in fantasy stage right now.
