I know there are starter rebuild kits out there for the 1fz but I haven't seen anyone post up about one for a 3fe. I'm guessing you would need to just assemble the kit yourself?

From the 60 series section in case you haven't seen:

Toyota does not sell "kits" for the starter rebuilds regardless of starter type. The kits are assembled by resellers like Wits End and Cruiser Outfitters.

For the 3FE starter:
28235-35080 plunger
28226-72010 starter terminal
28226-72080 battery terminal

Those are the ones I was looking for. Thank you

@NLXTACY I must have searched your site wrong and only saw the 1fz kit.

As soon as I confirm it is the original starter on the truck (thursday when I get to it again) and confirm it is in fact the starter going out i'll be ordering one of your kits. Hell if it wasn't for these fires i'd drive down and pick one up to save you the shipping trouble.

Wow the 3fe starters are only 1.0 kw.... no kidding.

It's 1000 watts of bone crushing power.
LOL yeah i remember when I helped with a 1fz rebuild a while back it was 3.2 KW or something like that.

FWIW i used the same kit on a reman denso starter and have had 0 issues thus far
