Anyone have 3FE bell housing cad drawings?

Also what engines have the same bell housing flange dimensions as the 3FE, in other words what engines would bolt onto the transmission of my 1991 3FE powered 80.

I think you will have better luck in the 80 Series Tech section.....

Diesel and Gas don't mix to well :p

Gasser trans wont work on a diesel engine without shaft swap.

I have no plans to use any toyota engine.. I am looking for a CAD drawing so I can design a transmission adapter to connect the toyota trans to the diesel engine I have with minimal downtime.

What engine are you going to use.
Once again the input shaft will be the road block(input shaft is not a universal fit all motors.)

A 3.0L Mercedes OM603.

And I was planning to use the stock Toyota torque converter.

I have the Mercedes engine in my garage, I can readily take measurements of the bell housing bolt pattern and flex plate, if I can get RELIABLE proper measurements, for the Toyota transmission, then I can design an adapter plate to go between the bell housings and possibly a second plate to connect the Mercedes flex plate to the Toyota torque converter. Or possibly just modify the Merc flex plate. From there I have a friend who can machine the parts. If he has to do design work that's where its starts to cost.

Ive done a similar project in the past and it was as simple as aligning the two cad files and determining how thick the adapter plate needed to be.

I doubt anyone is going to give you a cad file for the bellhousing. Anyone who actually has one likely made it to create their own conversion kit. You can buy a plate from 4x4 labs that will mate the toyota bellhousing to a merc engine though I dont know which.

2F and 3F will have the same engine side bolt pattern. You should just get yourself a bellhousing and go from there.

Seriously I am on other car forums where CAD files for complete adapter plates are in the sticky threads of the relevant section along with hosted FSM's on some. If I have too take my own measurements then I will publish a complete design for the OM60X to Toyota trans bell housing adapter.

Actually I will publish them even if I don't have to take my own measurements.

The 4x4 labs one is for the OM617 which has a completely different bell housing.

Awesome. Please post them if you find them or make them.

Thanks for the offer I might just take you up on that, I can eventually bang out a drawing in cad but it takes me a very long time.

If you get dimensions on paper you can email me I might be able to scratch them up on cad for ya.

PM me though, as I might forget to check this thread.
