I spend a lot of time in the backcountry of the Big Bend region in West Texas. Summer temps are brutal and I've enjoyed the peace of mind I've gotten from installing aftermarket temp gauges for my coolant and trans fluid. So much so that I'm going to add an oil temp gauge. Coolant and trans temp sensor location was easy because I could just splice into a hose. I know the ideal would be to weld a bung into the oil pan but I'm really hoping there's a simpler option someone has already figured out. My searching didn't return anything I could run with. I'm using an Autometer Z Series and hoping to use the included sensor if thats helpful info: "1/8” NPT temperature sender, 3/8” and 1/2" NPT adapters".
