Having 3B for our BJ 45 with manufactured sticker 09/82 with unknown history rebuilt in Denver. The pulley that came off donor which attaches to the correct water pump does not fit both in bolt pattern or the hub. The Water pump is new and is part number 16100-59105.

Hopefully someone has some help as we are dead in water while we figure this out.

Old pump pic and mounted new water pump differences do show the flange differences and mounting bolts which are wider on new pump. Old pulley also has been cleaned up but original shown.

I have a pulley that looks like it may be right for you. It's off a 2B from a 1980 BJ44.

Trying to download pic but can’t find it. There must have been some kind of hodge lodge with this engine. This from builder in Denver

Old pulley center hub diameter = 1.117” and diameter between mounting holes 1.42”

New pulley requirements should be around
Center hub = 1.65”
Center of stud to stud on pump 1.65

Hope all that makes sense.

The water pump with closer spaced bolts is for a solid fan. With larger bolt spacing is for a fan clutch. Different fans (and probably fan shrouds). Probably easier to stick with the correct water pump.
