So I've researched this forum continuously for the past week and read all about the nose cone swap but my issue isn't the starter but the nose cone itself cracked and broke. Any way to source just a nose cone?

Haven’t seen that one before. You need a pre or post 10/84 3B nose cone? I have a some starters on the shelf that I could part out.

It's an 83 3b. That would be a huge help, the local cruiser shop doesn't have anything that will fit

Ok, this is what I have for early 3B starter parts... I used to buy brand new Toyota 12v starters to convert HDJ81 starters to 12v for the conversions I was doing on US FJ80s. So I have the leftovers which are brand new Toyota 3B front half...nose cone, clutch, pinion etc. So new Toyota front half for $150 plus postage.
