I pulled my injectors for a HG job and now I cant get the injector lines to seal on the injectors. It appears that the line nut bottoms out on the injector before the line can seal, all new sealing washers on the return lines. Minor grove on the fuel line sealing surface, the injector side looks good. Has anyone ever used any kind of sealing washer between the line and the injector?

I’ve ran into that on other diesels but there weren’t any when I took the lines off. It’s almost like the new washers for the return line are too thick.

So I replaced all of those seals when I reinstalled the injectors. It almost appears like the aluminum washers for the return line are too thick.
 
Did you buy them from a Toyota parts specialist?. Its not the first time Ive seen someone given any old injector gasket/seat kit.
I would take one out and measure it with micrometer. The B engines are a big family spread over a few decades, its quite possible there is some difference.
 
The alum washers are crush washers. They do get thinner when properly torqued. Do as Rosco said. Make sure you have the right washers.
 
I assumed @valdezhilander was talking about the injector lines and nut leaking where they seal to the injector or pump. There’s no washers they just have a female and male mating surface. The nut shouldent be bottoming out, the line on the sealing surface is a sign they are deformed.

I have had mine on and off a lot of times and have ended up with them leaking. I believe you can still get new ones. What I did and worked well for me was at the recommendation of a local injection shop. They susjested using valve lapping compound on the sealing surface. Lapp the two together being very careful not to get an inside the line or receiving end clean thoroughly. they do it all the time aparently.
