3B front crank seal (1 Viewer)

Mine is starting to spray oil on my belts and be a general nuisance. Has anyone ever changed one of these? Service manual says it can be done on the truck. Anything special to get that pulley off? Do I have to drain the oil first? Thanks for any tips and tricks.

Harmonic Balancer size

So I pulled everything off to expose the front crank seal but the seal supplied by Toyota was smaller than needed. Also, my speedy sleeve to fix the grooved harmonic balancer pulley was too small. Does anyone know the outside diameter of that hb pulley shaft?

Crank seal again?

I just replaced this turkey a year and a half ago and used a speedy sleeve on the pulley to fix the groove. Now it's leaking again. What gives?

I need to go in there again over the holidays to pull the rad for a recore so I'm wondering if I need to do the same procedure. Maybe I did't read between the lines for the guru advice.

Didn't know that. So is the solution to replace the pulley/balancer? I guess that may be cheaper than having it spray welded.
