My 83 60 has a swapped in 3B from who knows when.

Currently I am at a point of decision. My existing motor mounts are shot. So, I ordered new mounts for the 3B from the dealer. Took out the driver side and learned that the mount DONSN'T MATCH. Looks like the guy kept the 2F mounts for the 3B swap.

Choice 1: use 2F mounts that are half the price and requires no extra work.

Choice 2: make the 3B mounts work. All this requires is to drill the frame mount slot a little longer.

I'm leaning toward using the 3B mount because it matches the engine. The rubber is 1/4" thicker which should make a nice improvement. This is no smooth quiet running 2F.

I also learned that my transmission mounts need to be replaced too. Ugh.

Thoughts?

Here you can see from the under side that the mount hole is slightly visible already.

Everything seems to point to using the 3B mounts and making them work.
I think you have already basically decided that for yourself…..

Except I didn't do that. I decided to use the worn out 2F mount, cut off the studs and drill it thru. Used a 12mm bolt all the way thru. It's rough now. I have the threaded end double nuted so ill loosen it up a little to see if it softens up.
